State Police at Schuylkill Haven - crashes

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported the following crashes:

• Lauren A. Sophy, 21, of Slatington, was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic after a two-vehicle crash at 4:53 a.m. June 10 in Pine Creek Drive in West Brunswick Township. No one was injured in the incident.

Police said she was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado that was involved in the mishap with a 2019 Toyota Tacoma driven by Kade J. Spitler, 27, of Orwigsburg.

• William J. Fessler, 26, of Pottsville, sustained suspected minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 8:51 p.m. June 1 on Route 61 in North Manheim Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Orwigsburg Police Department to the Geisinger-St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg.

Police said he was driving a 2015 Harley Davidson that struck a pothole, causing him to lose control of the cycle, which traveled to the right side of the road and struck a curb, overturning and sliding about 100 yards down the roadway.

The cycle had to be towed from the scene.

Police said Fessler was cited for “classes of licenses.”
