Kathleen G. Straubinger of Jim Thorpe is the new Director of Hospice for the Visiting Nurse Association of St. Luke’s.

In this position, she is responsible for directing home-based hospice care in the six county area that includes Carbon, Lehigh and Northampton counties, as well as Upper Bucks, Eastern Monroe and Eastern Schuylkill counties.

She also directs the 11-bed inpatient VNA Hospice at St. Luke’s, Bethlehem.

A graduate of the Allentown School of Nursing and Cedar Crest College with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, she joined the Visiting Nurse Association of St. Luke’s in 2002 and previously had been associated with the Lehigh Valley Hospital.
