The beaches at both Tuscarora and Locust Lake state parks in Barnesville were closed to swimming Tuesday by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources because of resampling requirements.

As a precaution, the beaches will remain closed until acceptable water sample results are received.

DCNR has posted signs at the beaches. Other activities such as camping, picnicking, hiking and fishing are proceeding as usual.
