State police at the Frackville barracks said a driver and passenger escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash at 10:18 p.m. June 13 on Route 309 (West Penn Pike) in West Penn Township.

Police said Vickie M. Sult, 64, of Orangeville, was driving a 2005 Honda CRV northbound when it struck a deer that was standing in her lane of travel. The car had disabling damages and was towed from the scene.
