Fire companies from throughout Carbon County are battling a multiple alarm fire in Lehighton. The blaze was reported around 7 p.m. in the 300 block of North First Street.

When the first firefighters arrived on scene they found heavy flames and smoke pouring from the initial site.

The flames quickly spread to several adjoining homes.

The Red Cross was on scene to help those displaced.

A Gofundme account has been set up for Christine Ferguson and her three sons Mason, Lukas, and Jacob. They were not home when the fire broke out, but they lost everything, according to the account page.
