Franklin Township supervisors presented its annual contribution to the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company with a slight change.
“Each year, the township shows its support for the fire company with a contribution,” supervisor chairman Fred Kemmerer Jr. explained. “Every year, it has been $40,000. This year, we added another $10,000, so that they can build up incentives to get more volunteers. So our total contribution is $50,000.”
The supervisor presented the check for $50,000 to Fire Chief Lynn Diehl.
