State police at Lehighton
State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 41-year-old man from Gilbert is facing burglary charges after police responded to an incident at 9:53 a.m. May 30.
It happened at a property on Interchange Road, Polk Township.
Police said the man, whose name was not released, was arraigned and remanded to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.
• A 21-year-old man from Bath faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police conducted a traffic stop at 1:37 a.m. May 31.
He was stopped in a 2012 Subaru Outback for multiple Title 75 violations on Lehigh Drive in Lehigh Township.
• A Pine Lane, Polk Township, resident told police someone used her PayPal account to purchase an XBox unit at a cost of $562.85. She reported the incident at noon May 27.
• A 60-year-old resident of Thomas Jefferson Road, East Penn Township reported a theft by deception incident at noon May 20. He told police someone used his Home Depot account to purchase merchandise in the Bronx, New York.
• A 34-year-old man from Allentown is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police conducted a traffic stop at 1:55 a.m. June 1.
He was stopped in a 2016 Mercedes-Benz for multiple Title 75 violations on Lehigh Drive in East Penn Township.
• Police are investigating the theft of used cooking oil from Frank’s Pizzeria, Interchange Road, Polk Township.
The business owner reported at 6:32 a.m. June 1 that the used oil was stolen by someone in a suspicious dark blue Ford Econoline E250.
• Travis Wieser, 46, of Palmerton, was cited for disorderly conduct after police received a noise complaint from multiple callers at 12:37 a.m. June 5 at 402 Centre St., Parryville, about the alarm going off on his 2008 Mazda 6.
