State police at Schuylkill Haven - Crashes

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported the following crashes:

• Calvin L. Revell, 46, of Pottsville, was involved in a one-vehicle crash at 11:55 a.m. May 22 on South Centre Street in Mount Carbon borough.

Police said he was driving a 2020 Dodge Ram 2500 northbound when it left the road and struck a utility pole and fence. The vehicle had heavy damages and was towed from the scene.

Police said Revell was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-East, Pottsville, to be evaluated for an unrelated medical event. Revell was cited for the crash.

• A two-vehicle crash occurred at 7:45 a.m. May 15 at the intersection of Route 61 and South Greenview Road in North Manheim Township.

Police said it happened when a 2014 Ford Escape driven by Sherry A. Akins, 65, of Tamaqua, entered the intersection without proper clearance and struck a 1994 Cadillac Deville driven by Terri L. Kriner, 62, of Orwigsburg. Police said the Escape had heavy damages and was towed from the scene while the Deville was able to be driven from the scene.

Akins was cited for the crash, police said.

• A 16-year-old Orwigsburg boy was involved in a one-vehicle crash at 8:01 a.m. May 23 on Route 61 in North Manheim Township.

Police said he was driving a 2018 GMC Terrain northbound and was traveling too fast for conditions when it went off the right side of the road. The vehicle had heavy damages and was towed from the scene. The teen was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed, police said.
