State police at Lehighton
State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 38-year-old woman from East Stroudsburg was cited for simple trespass after police were asked to check on the welfare of a 62-year-old man from Kunkletown at 5:42 p.m. May 28 at a property on Burger Hollow Road, Polk Township.
• A 27-year-old woman from Saylorsburg is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 1:54 a.m. May 28.
She was stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation while driving a 2015 Chrysler 200 on Weir Lake Road in Chestnuthill Township.
• A 49-year-old Kunkletown woman is the victim of a theft by deception incident reported at noon May 27 at 2516 Pine Lane, Polk Township.
Police said someone used the victim’s PayPal account to purchase an XBox unit.
• A 42-year-old Summit Hill man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 12:38 a.m. May 26.
They stopped him in a 2003 Jeep Liberty for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on East Bertsch Street in Lansford.
• Police were called to a lost property report at 1:30 p.m. May 22 at Don’s Auto and Golf, Interchange Road, Towamensing Township.
They said they were notified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Quality Assurance Department that two state vehicle inspection stickers were reported missing from the dealership.
• An East Penn Township man is the victim of a theft by deception incident that police reported at noon May 20 at 154 Thomas Jefferson Road, East Penn Township.
Police said the man reported an unknown person used his Home Depot account to purchase merchandise in the Bronx, New York.
• The driver of a vehicle that police stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
Police said they stopped the vehicle on Interchange Road in Towamensing Township at 1:48 a.m. May 20.
• A 43-year-old Bushkill woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 11:06 p.m. May 18.
They stopped her in a 2008 Honda Accord for a Motor Vehicle Code violation in the 1300 block of Meixsell Valley Road in Ross Township.
• A 31-year-old man from Laurys Station is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 2:52 a.m. May 18.
They stopped him in a 2008 BMW for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on North Best Avenue, Walnutport.
• A 55-year-old Palmerton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police conducted a traffic stop at 2:23 a.m. May 18.
They stopped him in a 2005 Ford F-150 for numerous traffic offenses in the 700 block of Eighth Street in Palmerton.
• Police were called to a “blackmail” case at 1:52 a.m. May 16.
They said a resident from Woodhaven Drive, Ross Township, reported being “blackmailed” for images he sent over a social media application.
• Police released the results of a sobriety checkpoint they held between May 24 to 27 on roads in Carbon and Monroe counties.
They said seven motorists were charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and 38 traffic citations and 15 written warnings were issued to drivers for violations of the Motor Vehicle Code.
