A monument in memory of Marvin Faust that was built near his favorite fishing hole not too far from his home in West Penn Township was dedicated on Monday during a program put together by the West Penn Lions Club.
Faust was only 15 when he was stabbed in the hallway of the Tamaqua Area Senior High School and shortly thereafter died of the wounds.
Edward A. Dudley, club secretary, was in charge of the program held on a plot of land donated from the Darryl and Donald Moyer farm which was originally owned by Faust’s great-grandfather.
The late boy’s parents unveiled the black stone that had Marvin’s picture on it.
