The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Senior Farmers’ Market Program will be offered again this year to eligible Carbon County Senior Citizens.
Each person will get vouchers totaling $50 to spend at any farmers’ market or farm stand that participates in the Pennsylvania Farmers’ Market program.
To be eligible, older citizens must be a Carbon County resident, age 60 or older by Dec. 31, and meet the household income guidelines. Total gross annual income must be at or below $27,861 for one person and $37,814 for a two person household. A couple is entitled to $50 each.
Vouchers will not be mailed to anyone. They will be distributed in person during the scheduled dates, locations and times.
There will be no forms to complete prior to pick up.
People show their photo ID and sign for their vouchers.
If picking up for a spouse or someone else, complete a proxy form and bring it to the distribution site for that person. Proxy forms are available at all Senior Centers and the Area Agency on Aging.
