The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources closed the Tuscarora State Park Beach to swimming effective Wednesday because of resampling requirements.

As a precaution, the beach in Barnesville will remain closed until acceptable water sample results are received. DCNR has posted signs at the beach.

Other activities at Tuscarora State Park, such as camping, picnicking, hiking and fishing are proceeding as usual.
