Rush Township has a new secretary/treasurer.

Supervisors hired Cindy Woleslagle for the position at a rate of $21 per hour during a recent board meeting.

Woleslagle will replace Christine Marcolla, who had served in the post since the beginning of the year. Marcolla’s resignation was accepted during the meeting.

This marks the fourth secretary/treasurer the township has had since November.

Also during the meeting, supervisors approved purchasing 12 grinder pumps for $32,880 from Site Specific. Three will be for the Hometown area and the remainder will be used in Lake Hauto.

The township office will be closed for Memorial Day on May 27.

Trash collection will be moved from May 27 to May 28, and from May 31 to June 1.
