State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• Kelly Serok, 46, of Palmerton, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 11:58 p.m. May 10 in the 3900 clock of Mauch Chunk Road in North Whitehall Township.

She was stopped in a 2019 Nissan Sentra for Title 75 offenses and police found her to be intoxicated and impaired.

• Two catalytic converters worth in excess of $4,700 were stolen off vehicles in Bath.

Police said they were summoned at 9:45 a.m. April 12 to 163 N. Walnut St. in the borough where Michael Stefano of Mike’s Automotive and Mechanical reported someone cut a converter worth $1,703 off a vehicle on April 9.

A second complainant, Mark Ruth, of Brown Daub, reported a converter worth $3,075.22 was stolen off a vehicle, police said.

The vehicles involved are a 1993 Ford Econoline E350 and a 2003 Ford F250 SuperCab pickup truck.

• Police said a 69-year-old woman from Slatington was involved in a theft by deception/identity theft incident. Police were called at 12:24 p.m. April 30 to Route 873 in Washington Township.

She reported her identity was compromised through her desktop computer by an unknown male who advised her to purchase Bitcoin and gift cards.

• Police are investigating a theft by deception/identity theft case involving a 26-year-old woman from Slatington.

They said they were called at 7:55 p.m. May 8 to a property on Kirk Street, North Whitehall Township, to investigate the incident.
