A child was treated following an incident Thursday afternoon in Palmerton.

Borough police Detective Kevin Buck said the situation occurred at around 5:10 p.m. at Fifth and Lafayette Avenue.

Buck said the incident involved a juvenile, but added that EMS on scene didn’t believe he was struck by a car, and there were no witnesses to validate it.

He said the patient was transferred by EMS to St. Luke’s Carbon.
