The home phones from many years ago are gone. We have our home phone for 54 years, for family, friends, doctors, hospitals.
When our home phone rings, I stop what I am doing to run to the phone to answer it, and to my surprise it is a telemarketer. We pay the phone bill; telemarketers do not pay for our home phone. It is frustrating when I get telemarketers calling us up to 20 times a day. It starts at 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
Should we get rid of our home phone so we are not harassed by telemarketers, or should we get a lawyer to sue all of the telemarketers?
We have caller ID, so I have all the telemarketers’ phone numbers. They are even calling cellphones. At our age we do not need to be harassed.
Thank you,
