A Mother’s Day Herbal Tea will be served when the Pocono Garden Club meets on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Monroe County Conservation District, 8050 Running Valley Road, Bartonsville.
The club’s original silver tea set will be part of the popular traditional tea party, where some members still don traditional fancy hats. Club members saved up their S&H Green Stamps in the 1970s to obtain the tea set for the club.
The May floral design entry is titled “Cinco de Mayo” and will be a parallel design with vibrant colors.
The May horticulture entry will be a stem from a flowering shrub in a clear container or a collection of hosta leaves in a clear container with water.
The club is already preparing for its annual flower show and plant sale. Themed “The Beauty of America,” the show and sale will be held July 13 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Tannersville.
