Jim Thorpe High School will host the Powerlifting American Super State Championships for Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware High Schools on May 4-5.
The top three big school (Class 6A), medium school (Class 4A and 5A) and small school (Class 1A, 2A and 3A) teams will all receive awards. Individually, awards will be presented to the top three finishers in nine different weight classes for males and nine different weight classes for females.
Below is a schedule for Saturday and Sunday’s events:
Saturday - 80 Athletes
Session 1: All Female and Male up to 74 KG
Sunday - 190 Athletes
• 9 a.m. Competition Lifting
Session 1 Awards
Session 2: Male 83 KG - UNL Male
• 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Weigh-ins for Session 2
• 1 p.m. - Competition Lifting
