One woman was injured Sunday afternoon in a crash in Lower Towamensing Township.

The crash occurred around 3 p.m. as the woman was traveling west on Forest Drive near the intersection with Spruce Road.

The driver went off the road into a steep wooded area. She was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a nearby trauma center.

The Aquashicola Fire Company responded to the scene.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
