Northern Valley Emergency Medical Services is actively seeking grants and funds for its truck replacement plan.
Kristie Wentling, executive director, Northern Valley Emergency Medical Services, told Walnutport Borough Council recently that the organization had raised $208,322 through grants and donations last year.
Wentling said the organization is in the midst of a truck replacement plan, for which it is looking to remount three ambulances and purchase a new one, for which the total cost of the plan is $541,945
She said they currently have $201,945 to go, and are actively seeking grants and funds for the project, which is expected to be completed by January 2025.
Additionally, Wentling noted that NOVA has a grant application out for four power stair chairs (cost is $67,280), as well as one for building improvements.

In February 2023, Wentling told council that NOVA received a Keystone Communities Program grant for $115,000 toward the ambulance remount.
