Route 209 in Lansford has reopened after a reported fatal crash near the Lansford town houses and the Panther Valley High School. Two people were involved in the crash just north of Lansford towards Nesquehoning. One is reported to have died.

According to reports from the scene, their vehicle entered the right berm and hit a tree. It then continued on coming to rest back on the roadway.

Two medical transport helicopters were requested to the scene but shortly after the flights were declined due to weather.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident. We’ll update with crash information when it is released.
