The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce recently promoted Aimee Dotson to the role of executive director.
Dotson had served as the Chamber’s office and outreach administrator for the past several years.
“Aimee continues to go above and beyond in her role with the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce. Because of this, the Chamber board of directors voted to promote her from outreach coordinator to executive director,” explained Kim Noel, Chamber president.
Noel said Dotson is an asset to the Chamber, and having her on board enhances the services provided to members and the community.
“Aimee is very professional yet personable, giving all of our members an opportunity for involvement and input. She is very passionate not only about the chamber but also the community in which we serve,” Noel said. “We look forward to many more exciting opportunities for the chamber under Aimee’s leadership.”
The chamber recently held its first breakfast seminar of the year, and invited members and prospective members to join a conversation about “Promoting the Tamaqua Area.”
The event, held from the Lehigh Carbon Community College, saw 40 attendees.
“We discussed Tamaqua’s future,” Dotson said. “The Chamber’s goal is to help promote the Tamaqua area, Tamaqua businesses, and our surrounding areas to both local residents and out of town guests.”
Dotson noted that the Chamber is in the midst of its membership drive, so the seminar was open to both current and prospective members for free.
