The Pennsylvania State Police barracks at Lehighton has a new station commander, replacing Sgt. Charles T. Romanisko of Jim Thorpe, who retired on Jan. 4.
Sgt. Robert H. Martz, 43, of Lehighton R. 3, assumed his new duties today.
He enlisted in the state police on Jan. 27, 1972, and was promoted to corporal in 1983, when he was assigned to Troop N, Lehighton station, as a patrol supervisor.
In 1988, Martz was promoted to sergeant and assigned to Troop N headquarters in Hazleton as a criminal investigation section supervisor covering the Fern Ridge, Lehighton, Swiftwater and Hazleton stations.
