Penn Forest Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 is going to sponsor Boy Scout Troop 555 of the Minsi Trails Council, announcing the charter application will be presented to council representatives at a covered-dish social on March 2.

William Hutt, a former Boy Scout in Philadelphia, will serve as the committee chairman and Walter H. Hunsicker will be the troop treasurer. He is a former committeeman of Troop and Post 87, Weissport. The council’s secretary will be Nancy Trapp.

The troop will be chartering 17 boys as scouts during their presentation.
