The 2008 River Walck Saloon LLC, Parryville, has been cited by the Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, Wilkes-Barre, for violating state liquor laws.
Police said during the period of Sept. 1 through Nov. 15, 2023, the business sold alcoholic beverages without authority in that its license expired and/or was in safekeeping, or its temporary operating authority expired.
The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose a penalty ranging from $50-1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. The judge can impose a license suspension or revocation based on the charge, and can also mandate training for the licensee in an effort to educate them on the requirements of being a licensee.
