State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following:

• Police said a terroristic threat incident that happened between 12:20 and 1:10 p.m. Jan. 22 at Parkland High School, 2700 N. Cedar Crest Blvd., South Whitehall Township, was deemed to be not credible.

They were summoned there via a Safe to Say report that indicated a male student made a statement regarding a school shooting, but determined there was no active threat towards the safety of students or staff at the school.

• A 53-year-old man from Orefield is the victim of a $115,000 theft by deception incident that police were called to investigate at 10:17 a.m. Jan. 19.

They said the victim, who lives on York Drive, North Whitehall Township, told them he sent the money to a law firm in Kenya as part of a deal to purchase precious metals from Africa. He told police he believed he was dealing with a legitimate company but has never received the metals.

• Police are investigating a theft by deception/ATM card incident in which a woman had $100 stolen from her.

The victim, a 38-year-old woman from Bath, told police the money was transferred from her bank account to an unknown Cash application account between Dec. 20-22 without her authorization or her allowing anyone access to her banking information.

• Police are investigating a theft by deception/identity theft incident that they were called to at 8 a.m. Sept. 17.

A 54-year-old man from Schnecksville said the incident happened at 5942 Labrador Court, Heidelberg Township, where the victim reported his AT&T account information was used to activate an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

• Three people were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:07 a.m. Jan. 26 on Rockdale Road, North Whitehall Township. They were identified as a 16-year-old boy, Lacey Augustowicz, 19, and a 16-year-old girl, all from Slatington. Police said they were not transported to a medical facility.

Police said the 16-year-old boy was operating the vehicle. Augustowicz and the 16-year-old girls were passengers.

Police did not provide additional details of the incident.

• The living room of a home in Washington Township was damaged, causing $6,000 in damages in a criminal mischief incident that police responded to at 11:36 p.m. Dec. 17.

The victim is a 42-year-old woman from 3902 Grant St., who reported the front window of the home having been smashed.

• Corey Mars, 31, of Kunkletown, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 11:38 p.m. Nov. 30 at 2158 Mountain Road, Washington Township.

Police said he was driving a 2021 Nissan Altima. They said victims of the crash are a 68-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man, both from Slatington.

• Jason Krawchuk, 34, of New Tripoli, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police responded to a crash at 10:40 p.m. Dec. 13.

It happened at 3574 Mountain Road, Washington Township, when Krawchuk was driving a 2022 Subaru Crosstrek. Police did not provide any other details of the incident.
