State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following:

• A 31-year-old man from New Castle, Delaware, is in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, after police observed a trespassing incident at 10 p.m. Jan. 20.

It happened on Interchange Road in Polk Township when police saw the man in a 2007 Toyota Rav4. They said he refused to get out of the vehicle as instructed by a trooper and had to be removed from it and taken into custody.

Police said he was found to have an active arrest warrant against him and was in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia.

• A snow plow struck a mirror of a 2016 Jeep Compass at 5:59 a.m. Jan. 22 on Broadway in Jim Thorpe, between Mauch Chunk and Ally/Quarry streets.

Police said the 2022 International was driven by Luke R. Blisard, 25, of Lehighton, when he was traveling west on Broadway. They said the width of the front-end snow blade was wider than the westbound lane of travel and was partially over the center line divider when it struck the mirror of the Jeep, which was operated by Arica S. Pfeiffer, 49, of Lansford.

No one was injured and damages were non-disabling, police said.

• Anthony D. Egu, 42, of East Orange, New Jersey, was uninjured in a crash that happened at 10:21 a.m. Jan. 22 on Woodland Drive, Ross Township.

Police said he was driving a 2018 Toyota Camry on the snow-covered and icy roadway when he attempted to a left-hand curve in the roadway and lost control of the car. It traveled onto the west berm and struck a boulder.

Police said the car had to be towed from the scene.

• A Whitehall woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 12:45 p.m. Jan. 22 on Blue Mountain Drive in Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said Laela R. McDonough, 18, was transported by personnel from the Palmerton Community Ambulance Association to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem.

They said she was driving a 2002 Saturn southbound when she lost control of the car and it left the roadway and struck a tree.

Police said she had a fractured leg.

The car had disabling damages.

Police said McDonough received a written warning.
