Lehighton Borough Council approved a 3% raise for non-contractual employees Thursday.

On a 5-0 vote, council adopted a resolution setting the salaries with a 3% raise for non-contractual employees.

Council members Autumn Abelovsky and John Kreitz abstained because they have relatives who work for the borough.

After the meeting, borough Manager Dane DeWire said this was for nine employees across administration, Public Works, and Light & Power.
