Police said he was transported by personnel from the Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven Area EMS unit to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus, Coaldale.

Police said he was operating a 2018 Subaru Outback southbound and was negotiating a left curve while traveling down a hill. They said he lost control of the car, which left the roadway and struck a tree on the west side of the road.

Police said he refused a medical transport by personnel from the Schuylkill Valley EMS unit who responded to the incident.

They said he was driving a 2019 Kenilworth that veered off the roadway and struck an embankment and utility pole before traveling up an embankment and overturning onto a tree.

The vehicle was carrying a full load of propane at the time, but police said none of the fuel was determined to have leaked.

They said Cold Run Road was closed while the truck was offloaded of propane and towed from the scene.
