The Weatherly Area School Board is now complete.
Former Board member Ryan Binder was selected from three applicants to fill a vacant seat. The applicants were former board member Christie Minor and businessman Al Kislan.
The vote for Binder was 7-0. Barbara Sipler did not vote because she out sick.
Binder then participated in Wednesday’s caucus meeting.
The only other vote Wednesday was to accept Donna M. Thomas as a substitute nurse for the 2023-2024 year.
The annual budget for Carbon Career & Technical Institute was presented and analyzed. District Business Manager Robert Kachurak presented a report he prepared with highlights of key numbers. Members who wanted the CCTI budget as a printout each received a large book. The board will review the numbers and come up with questions for future meetings.
Magisterial District Judge Joseph D. Homanko Sr., left, swears in Ryan Binder as a new member of the Weatherly Area School District board of directors. SETH ISENBERG/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
