State Police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following:

• A 14-year-old boy from Kunkletown who was reported missing from his residence was located and transported back to his house at 4:27 p.m. Jan. 5.

Police said he ran away from his home at 317 Ralph Samuel Boulevard, Polk Township, and was located after a neighborhood canvas and multiple interviews by police.

• Police said a 38-year-old man from Kresgeville is facing multiple charges, including driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance after an incident at 12:13 a.m. Jan. 5.

Police said they were called to the Wawa store on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township for a report of a man acting erratically and disorderly within the business, refusing to leave after having been asked to do so multiple times by store personnel.

They said he appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and was suspected to be driving a 2007 Subaru Impreza under the influence.

• Police said they were called to a “scattering rubbish” report at 10:21 a.m. Dec. 28 on Interchange Road in Towamensing Township but the investigation yielded negative results.

Police said they came to that determination after conducting interviews and a neighborhood canvas.

• A 28-year-old Albrightsville woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop police conducted at 3:59 p.m. Dec. 30.

They stopped her in a 2018 Jeep for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on Route 209 in Hamilton Township.
