State police at the Hazleton barracks reported the following:
• A 60-year-old Weatherly man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a crash at 12:12 a.m. Dec. 14 on Hudson Drive in Packer Township.
Police said the man was driving a 2000 Jeep Cherokee at the time.
• Claude E. Scott, 77, of Weatherly, was cited after a one-car crash at 5:59 a.m. Dec. 26 on the Quakake Road in Packer Township. He was uninjured.
Police said he was driving a 2002 Toyota Celica southbound when he lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve in the highway. The car went off the road and struck two road signs on the right shoulder of the road. The car sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene, police said.
• Police were called to a burglary on North Church Street, Hazle Township, at 2:45 a.m. Dec. 30.
Police said the front door of the business was shattered and suspects were observed inside the store. They were taken into custody as they attempted to steal various jewelry items.
They were arraigned and committed to the Luzerne County Prison, Wilkes-Barre, after being denied bail.
