Minor damage resulted at a pediatric center in Lehighton Monday afternoon.
Borough fire Chief Patrick Mriss said firefighters were dispatched at around 2:30 p.m. to the Lehigh Valley Pediatric Center, 330 North First St.
“Just the HVAC unit not working properly,” Mriss said. “No damage to anything else; just shut the power off and told them to contact their HVAC maintenance.”
Mriss said there were no injuries.
He said firefighters remained on scene for about 20 minutes.
Mriss said Franklin Township Fire Department and Mahoning Valley Fire Department were dispatched, but they were canceled.
A quick response by the Lehighton Fire Department Monday afternoon kept damage to a minimum at the Lehigh Valley Pediatric Center, 330 North First St. The call came in around 2:30 p.m. for the smell of something burning, possibly plastic or electrical.
