Franklin Township supervisors took the following action on Tuesday:

• Approved The Pohopoco Rod and Gun Club’s 2024 monthly meeting dates to be held. Meetings are Jan. 17, Feb. 21, March 20, April 17, May 15, June 19, July 17, Aug. 21, Sept. 18, Oct. 16, Nov. 20 and Dec. 18.

• Approved the letter of request from the Lehighton Men’s Softball League to use Bunker Hill Ballfield for the 2024 season from April through September. Supervisors advised that the softball league be given the resolution/ordinance that states there is no alcohol allowed at the township’s recreational parks, and to review all other regulations regarding use of the ballfield.

• Adopted a resolution - use of escalator clause for all bituminous materials and petroleum product purchase contracts either bid or entered into from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31.

• Adopted a resolution approving the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company’s 2024 Activity list.

• Adopted a resolution approving operational support activities for participating members of the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company for the year of 2024.
