Palmerton Fire Department has added to its ranks.
Several new members were sworn in at last month’s borough council meeting.
Councilman Kris Hoffner thanked them for volunteering.
“We’re very proud of our fire department, and where we’ve come in 11 years,” Hoffner said. “We’re pushing 50.”
Borough Mayor Don Herrmann conducted the oath of office and subsequent swearing in of Carl Bush, chaplain, Jade Ruzicka, firefighter, and Andrew Neff, fire police.
Garrett Broadfield was also appointed to the department, but was not in attendance.
