Zion Lutheran culinary ministry members Sharon Haldeman and Glenn Fritzinger prepare some of the pork used in the meals the Tamaqua church provided free of charge to community members New Year’s Day. Over 200 meals were served and that included 72 meals deliver by Bob and Gail Jones to shut-ins in the community. The pork and sauerkraut dinner is an annual event at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Fritzinger is the culinary team leader at Zion. Council President Michael Haspe and Pastor Cindy White welcomed those arriving to eat in or pick up their take-out dinners.
