CCTI students win medals at SkillsUSA competition

Twenty-three students from Carbon Career & Technical Institute recently traveled to Johnson College to compete in the SkillsUSA District competition.

Eighteen secured a medal in their area of competition. Winners are:

Gold medalists: Ella Sittler AST, action skills, Angelika Gines - AST, job interview; Varick Peiffer, architectural drafting; Anthony Muniz, technical drafting; Sophia Sarnowski, Job Demo A; Wyatt Smith, precision machine.

Silver medalists: Quiz Bowl Team, Draven Gery, William Trach, Owen Rakos, Jordan Drumbore, Dezarae Ahner; Julius Konafel, industrial motor control; Maxim Simbarskiy, extemporaneous speaking; Carlos Rodrigues Lopez, Job Demo Open, Jordon Defuso, HVAC; Sapphira Marcozz, employment application process.

Bronze medalist: Teamworks, Zachary Anthony, Blake Barberio, Xaiver Moore, Ben Beagle; Louis Sypeck, technical computer applications.

Students achieving a gold medal will move on to state competition, which will be held in Hershey.
