Carbon, Schuylkill youth participate in bowling tourney

Twenty-three students from Carbon and North Schuylkill Counties took part in the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) District 5 Bowling Tournament recently at Fritz Lanes, 2nd and South streets, Lehighton.

The Rev. Christopher Zelonis, pastor at Saints Peter & Paul Church, rolled out the first ball to start the program.

The young people also enjoyed pizza, hot dogs, and beverages courtesy of District 5.

Participating churches and schools included St. John Neumann Regional School, Palmerton; Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton; St. Jerome Regional School, Tamaqua; and Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Lehighton.
