A Lehigh Township home was destroyed by fire Saturday afternoon. The American Red Cross responded to the scene, assisting a family of four with food, clothing and other seasonal garments.

The fire was first reported at 2:30 p.m. along Hillview Drive.

Firefighters had to battle freezing temperatures and icy roadways to get to the scene.

Some equipment couldn't make it to the scene because of the roadways.
