A burglary that occurred in Franklin Township last week remains under investigation.

At 7:27 p.m. Saturday, Lehighton State Police responded to 44 East 3rd St., Lehighton, for a report of a burglary.After further investigation, between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Dec. 22, the suspect entered through a living room window.Upon entering the residence, the suspect stole a Safeguard Lock Box from under a bed that contained about $12,000 in cash, a Sig Sauer Mosquito .22 Cal. Handgun, Social Security cards, birth certificates, and a deed to the house.Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Flynn at 610-681-1850.
