The Santa in the Park and Christmas Tree lighting in Lehighton will be held at 6 p.m. today.

The event was scheduled for last Friday but postponed because of rain.The event is being sponsored by the Young Professionals Council of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation.Santa will be lighting the borough Christmas Tree just after 6:30 p.m. in the Borough Park.Bring the entire family for this family event, which includes hot chocolate and treats, along with raffles for the kids, music and a lot of fun.Santa will have a bag full of goodies to hand out to the children, including bikes, snowboard, sleds and toys.
