The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a weather advisory for snow changing over to freezing rain tonight into Monday.

The advisory is in effect from 7 tonight until 9 a.m. Monday.

Ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch are expected with about an inch of snow.

Snow will overspread the area later this evening before transitioning to a mixture of sleet and freezing rain after midnight.

By mid morning Monday, temperatures should warm up and the precipitation will change to just rain.

The morning commute will be affected.
