Lehighton's zoning hearing board is reviewing an application from Blakeslee Commons, LLC, 2216 Willow Park Road, Bethlehem for medical offices at Ninth and Bridge streets.

Blakeslee Commons requested a special exception from a section of the borough zoning ordinance that pertains to special uses as the property is located in an industrial zoning district.Zoning hearing board Chairman Randall Semmel said the board made a recommendation to turn the request over to the borough's planning commission for its review."At this time, there are no names of tenants," Semmel said. "But, it will be a medical facility."Semmel said the borough's planning commission is scheduled to meet later this month.At that point, they will share their ideas with the zoning hearing board, Semmel said.
