STROUDSBURG (AP) An eastern Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to 15 to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to third-degree murder in the slaying of his roommate almost two years ago.

The Pocono Record reports that 30-year-old Michael Rhubart of Chestnuthill Township entered the plea Monday in Monroe County Court in the October 2012 murder of 33-year-old Jubar Hughes.Rhubart said the slaying followed an argument over money after the two had been selling drugs in the Effort area. The victim's body was found about a month later buried near Lake Harmony in Carbon County.Judge Jennifer Sibum said she was sympathetic that Rhubart had been "caught up in drugs at a young age," but he should have learned his lesson after a four-year jail term.
