Margaret "Maggie" Mae Marcavage recentlycelebrated her 100thbirthday.

She was born June 25, 1915, on South Line Street in Frackville. She was the eldest of four daughters, born to Madgeline Mary (Bendrick) and Paul Marcavage.She met and eventually married Paul A. Flail of Tamaqua on Feb. 17, 1931. They met at the now defunct Lakewood Park in Barnesville. They were married for 53 years when Paul passed away in June 1984.Margaret had threechildren, Paul A. Jr., who died in infancy; the late Jeanne A. (Flail) Hahn-Cocco; and Robert J. Flail, who lives in Shillington with his wife, Lucille E. (Kennedy) Flail.Margaret also has three grandchildren, Joseph C. Hahn of Frackville, Dr.Gregory J. Flail and Joshua J. Flail, both of Atlanta, Georgia.She also has five great-grandchildren, Jenna M. Hahn of Schuylkill Haven; Joseph C. Hahn III of Frackville; Rebecca Hahn of Orlando, Florida; Lillian K. Flail and Bridget B. Flail, both of Atlanta.A small party was held at Hometown Nursing Facility in honor ofMargaret's 100th birthday.Margaret says her secret to longevity is hard work, kindness to all who came to know her and a strong faith in God.
