Beltzville State Park has closed its beach again, effective today, because of high bacteria levels taken on a July 7 sample.

As a precaution, the beach will stay closed until acceptable water samples are received.The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has posted signs at the beach. Other activities such as boating, fishing, picnicking and hiking will proceed as usual.This is the fourth time in recent weeks that the park has prohibited swimming.
