6-story plunge from St. Luke's hospital window kills man

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a man who plunged from a sixth-story hospital window last week has died, and the death has been ruled accidental.

The Lehigh County coroner's office says 26-year-old Jonathan Hanchick of Bethlehem Township died shortly before 11:30 p.m. Monday at St. Luke's Hospital.

Officials said he fell from a sixth-floor window at the Fountain Hill hospital at about 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday of last week.

The coroner's office said the death was caused by multiple blunt force injuries related to the fall and was ruled an accident.

The office and Fountain Hill police are investigating.
