Community awareness and spirit continues to grow at the Franklin Elementary School with the help of the fifth- and sixth- grade students.

The thought of celebrating Earth Day brought ideas of how they could make the world a better place, especially around the school.The students noted that a section of the schoolyard needed to be reseeded, which had been dug up to replace broken pipes. Most likely the maintenance crew would get to it sometime, but the students had the energy, time and the desire to do it now.
