At least one juvenile was arrested Monday morning after an incident broke out at a Carbon County Alternative Education building.
According to scanner reports, the incident occurred around 8:45 a.m. at the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit's Palmerton Alternative Education building, 480 Delaware Ave.Three students were out of control, according to the scanner report. Palmerton Police Department responded to the scene and requested backup.They were assisted at the scene by state police at Lehighton, Lehighton Police Department, Franklin Township Police Department and Lehigh Township Police Department.Contacted this morning, Palmerton Police Chief Randy Smith said the individuals involved in the matter are juveniles, and, therefore, could not give their names.Smith said the list of charges will be released at a later date.
