The American Red Cross and Pocono Raceway is holding its fourth annual blood drive event in honor of the victims and heroes of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks today until 7 p.m. at the Pocono Raceway, Long Pond Road, Long Pond.
This year's event will also be held with special recognition given to Trooper Robert Lombardo and in loving memory of Trooper Joshua Miller.As a thank you for supporting the blood drive, Pocono Raceway is giving all presenting donors with the chance to win a Fantasy Package, which includes four terrace club seats and the opportunity to meet all the NASCAR drivers on stage during opening ceremony at the 2010 Pocono 500. In addition, all presenting donors will receive a free T-shirt and a goody bag.Anyone 17 years or older, weighing at least 110 pounds and in general good health may be eligible to donate blood. Sixteen-year-olds may donate provided they bring an original parental consent form to the blood drive. The consent form can be found at
